AUTONOMY FOR GROUND OPERATIONS

Emmel develops autonomous unmanned ground vehicles and the software that runs them, for defence, security and critical infrastructure. We start with the task on the ground and build from there: one autonomy stack, carried by the vehicle the mission requires. Designed and built in Sweden, with IP, data and the decision chain kept under European control.

  1. WHAT THE PLATFORM DOES

    AGGER is a modular ground platform for tasks that are repetitive, hazardous or larger than the number of people available. It takes over persistent work on the ground, so that personnel are used where human judgement matters.

  2. AUTONOMY WITH A HUMAN IN COMMAND

    Emmel's autonomy software, lets the vehicle carry out an assigned task instead of being driven every metre. The operator sets the mission and its limits, follows execution and can step in or take direct control at any time. Perception, navigation and control run onboard. If the link drops, the vehicle continues its authorised task, preserves its data and reports back when the connection returns.

ONE AUTONOMY STACK, MANY MISSIONS

The same software runs on our own compact UGVs, six-wheel platforms and UTV-class carriers, and can be integrated on a customer's existing fleet. Built on proven commercial base vehicles and off-the-shelf components, units can be fielded in numbers, maintained in the field and replaced without a new procurement program. Emmel is fully modular and the only platform that makes multiple mission profiles executable.

  1. DECISIONS ON THE VEHICLE

    Perception, navigation and control run on the vehicle itself, in real time. The platform does not need a cloud connection or a constant operator link to do its job. If communications are degraded or lost, it continues the task it has been authorised to carry out, stores its data and reports back as soon as the link returns. The operator keeps command. The vehicle keeps working.

  2. EUROPEAN BY ARCHITECTURE

    The platform is designed in Sweden for European conditions: European terrain, spectrum, command structures and rules of engagement. Software, IP and data remain under European control, and updates are developed and delivered from Europe. There is no dependency on foreign export licences or on anyone outside the customer's own chain of command. The system answers to its operator, and to no one else.

  1. DUAL USE BY DESIGN

    The platform that secures a defence perimeter can also patrol a substation, a port or a data centre. Civil operators get a system built for contested conditions. Defence customers get a platform that matures through continuous civilian use. One stack, one supply chain, two markets.
